I don't think these guys who go door to door are harmful or annoying, they are just doing what they think God wants them to do. As a Christian, one should spread the word of God and tell of His great works. A person might feel as if it is their duty to mission to others. They aren't trying to bother you, just educate you on what you could be missing.

Then ask them to prove it to you. A burning bush or some wine from the sink would be good. If their heads are being consumed by flames that manage to not singe a single hair, they're definitely with God. Pay close attention. Otherwise, thank them for their interest and politely escort them off your property. Or have pamphlets printed out, titled 'Wouldn't it be better if there was no hell?', 'Why Jesus wants you to be an atheist', 'God won't save your soul, but man gave you alcohol to disinfect it', or 'Jesus loves you, but even he likes to sleep late on saturdays.' You can come up with logical arguments and give them a taste of their own medicine, or just have the covers done and assume they'll take the hint.
