What a black woman wants is for a man to be honest with her, communicate his feelings to her and make her feel special. If you tell her you like her and ask her out, and you are honest, she will sense it. It’s best not to beat around the bush or expect her to guess what you want. Simply tell her how you feel, and if she does not respond, do not feel rejected or hurt. Maybe she just wants to be friends.

I believe that Black women are simply more attracted to Black men than any other race, for the same reason that women of other races are attracted to Black men. It seems that Black men, however, think of women as women period and some make very little distnction between women. Where I live the trend is a lot of Black men and White women dating, and marrying, but I’ve been told that it’s the White women that go after the Black man. This leaves a lot of Black women manless. Now though, the tables are turning, and the manless Black women are starting to date other races of men. I have been apporached by several White men especially when I sport a very afro-centric hairstyle, more so than when I wear my hear straight. To sum it up, I believe that Black men are just now able to cross the line to White women so it is still kind of taboo, and that is the attraction between the two.
