NPR is liberal. And they do tend to have an WRONG coast, big city bent. I’m from the LEFT coast (California!) and have little interest in east coast stuff. All Manhatten and Dan Pinkwater could drop into a hole and I wouldn’t care. Being liberal is about how to make things better for all prople. This is NPR. Being conservative is only about what you can get for yourself. If you want whiney, listen to mindless AM talk radio, populated by bald , fat, white guys bitching about why they can’t get laid. If you don’t like thinking about how to make things better for all, just don’t listen to NPR! It makes you think and that obviously hurts.

Religion is the structure by which priests, rabbis and other parisites feed on the unwary. Religion has little to do with God. God will make herself available to any true seeker. Though it may take a lifetime or two. True seekers quickly see through the lies of religion and many simply step through its boundaries towards a greater truth. Some may return to their birth religion with a clear understanding of its strengths and weaknesses. Some spin on forever, lost in the maelstrom. But it is better to die a truth than live a lie.
