Here in Southern California, Hispanics of any color do not seem to like African Americans. Since relocating here, I have gotten very cold, sometimes nasty attitudes from them. They look at you as if you (African Americans) do not belong here. It’s funny, because at one time whites treated them the same way. They should know how hurtful it feels.

How do you think one might feel to be called degrading names, chased down like a criminal (past and present day). To be turned down for a job or housing because the white man don’t want you around or make you feel you’re not good or smart enough. To always be made to feel that you are less of a human being. To forever be taunted just because of the color of your skin. Can YOU even imagine how one might feel? This is only minor compared to the rest of history.

You must understand that even though we have different languages here in the U.S., MOST of the time we didn’t hear them until latinos came in and wanted to change everything! Why is it that other cultures can come here and acutally learn the english language and still speak their own, but latinos want to come into THIS country and say we’re wrong for having this way? In other words, if the americans went into the spanish speaking countries, would you want them to a. take over and change everything you’ve once know and b. tell you you’re language is wrong and kick you to the curb?

Why is it that african americans have hair texture different from all other cultures? Other cultures hair is straight, but not ours.

What is the problem here?! Why can’t people even our own african-americans accept one name for our race? Why are all these ‘negative’ terms referred to us? I didn’t see what was wrong with the term ‘colored’. To me being called ‘black’ is very racist and a negative term towards us as a people. Did you know that we are the ONLY race of people who ‘race names’ have changed since slavery? negroid, nigroes, nigger, colored, black. I mean what is the point? Let’s just be colored people and leave it like that!

I had a question for Asian men. Why is it that asian men do not like to date or marry african-american women? Is this some kind of taboo?
