Sharon: I resent your hostility toward and generalizations about ‘minorities’. You state that ‘Minorities are always trying to get attention in some way or another, whether it be dressing flashy, doing something flashy to their cars, walking flashy or just being plain loud and obnoxious.’ Where did you get this attitude? Your response was quite bigoted and inflamitory. And where do you get off lumping huge numbers of people into one group? The so-called ‘minorities’ (read anyone who is not a WASP) are incredibly diverse. In response to the original question about why hispanics put Old English lettering and decals on their cars: because they think it looks good. Many Latinos like to customize their cars. Its something to do, a way to make your car a little unique and identifiable as yours, etc. Why do white guys raise their trucks really high? Same reason: they think it looks good.
