I do not like breast implants. I would not knowingly date nor marry a woman with implants. I must admit that visible breasts (cleavage, tight blouse or sweater) do get my initial attention. However, as Roger stated in his response, after a few minutes (or less) of conversation on many such occasions, I have decided that I was not interested in that woman. Perhaps I do not fit the male norm, but I am usually more a sucker for a woman’s eyes and, yes, personality. I once knew a young woman who had had a double-mastectomy (I met her at a ‘clothing optional resort’) and I found her to be a very attractive and sexy woman.

A medically trained person should be able to provide the best answer, but I suspect it is due to something like the penis containing a much greater concentration of blood vessels and what I would call ‘blood-bearing tissue.’ This would especially be true when the penis is erect.

I agree with just about everything in Steve’s response. To expand somewhat, it is not just race that is a basis for these feelings. Look at the hostile feelings between groups in Serbia, Ireland, etc. I even saw a question on the Y? Forum regarding how Hispanics from outside the United States can sometimes put American (U.S.) Hispanics in the ‘other’ group and discriminate against them. Robert Wright describes the basis for a lot of this in his book The Moral Animal. It is a tendency that we all have to some degree, and that we have to recognize and often struggle to overcome.

As a naturist of many years, I agree with S.D.’s response (Original Archives). Visiting a nude resort is a wonderful way of becoming comfortable with your body as it is. As a way of trying to answer most of your questions in a nutshell, I’ll relate how my initial fears were answered. Some friends first discussed visiting a nude resort at a get-together. The husband of a nudist couple present offered to pay any person $20 who could stare at his wife’s pubic area without looking away for 5 minutes. (We were all clothed.) His wife then took off her clothes and we started timing as we discussed a possible visit to a resort. Although several men tried, nobody won the $20; they all were distracted during the normal conversation.
