LacyMemberI think those words are associated with the past and were very degrading. Overall I think that if white people can’t say it, then black people souldn’t either. I have been called a white B***h before by a black man and it hurt. Using a name to identify your race that could only be used by your race only seperates us more. Don’t call yourself something that you don’t others to call you.

LacyMemberI am a Puerto Rican female. I was pretty much raised in a white home. As a whole, I don’t think that we have any more in common with a black male than black women do. Diferent people might have more chemistry than others, but I don’t think our race has anything to do with it. When I see a good looking guy I don’t focus on his race. I look at this face and butt.

LacyMemberI believe that anyone who calls you racist because you told them to be quiet does no know the true meaning of racism. Racism is a very serious and thing and it is not to be taken lightly. Don’t treat people of any color any different than the way you treat white people or your friends. That way you will know when they accuse you of racism that they are uneducated and looking for sympathy. This goes for any race. Don’t let it bother you if you know that it was clearly not a racist remark. And the next time you hear someone say that you made a racist saying, ask them what about what you said was racist. Catch them in their own lie. People need to know that racist remarks or slurs are WRONG, and at the same time taking advantage of the ability to use them against others is also wrong.

LacyMemberMatt, it is completely normal to be angry at those who hurt us and our country. September 11, made many of us afraid and mad at the people who caused all of our pain. The important thing to remember is that not every Arab person you come in contact with had anything do with September 11. Innocent Arab people are getting a lot of negative attention right now that they don’t deserve. My advice is to be angry at those who hurt us, but don’t punish anyone who might look Arabian. I am sure they feel a great deal of guilt for something they had no control over. For those who hate the US…let them be. Their stupidity and pride has blinded them. Don’t stoop to their level.
