I can’t say whether or not white girls ‘put out’ more than girls of other ethnic backgrounds, but I can say this: First off, I am 22 years old and white, so I feel I am ‘qualified’ to make this observation — I’ve noticed this in my female friends as well as myself. I think that a lot of the intercourse that takes place on our part (not all, obviously) is due to insecurities and low self-esteem. I know that I’ve been ‘talked into it’ before by a guy feeding my insecurities. To me, it seems like white girls have lower self-esteem and more insecurities than girls from other backgrounds. I think this might account for at least some of the large amount of sexual activity. It’s well known that boys and girls tend to think differently about sex — boys like it, and girls feel loved through it (not always, mind you!), and when you have insecurities and low self-esteem and someone ‘wants you’….well, you tend to go along with it. I’m not condoning or condemning it, but that’s just been my observation.

I was in Burger King once wearing a Beatles t-shirt. The guy behind the counter in his mid-40s looks at me kind of condescendingly and says, “Aren’t you a little young to be listening to The Beatles?” I just laughed it off and thought “Aren’t you a little old to be working behing the counter at Burger King?'”
