In my case, a towel was not needed. I never blead during my first time to have intercourse nor have I anytime since then. I believe that I may have ‘popped my cherry’ with a tampon. It was incredibly uncomfortable and it hurt pretty bad. I think some of that had to do with the fact that I was extremely nervous. My advice is to make sure you are in love with your first because I only thought I was and it was not but a few months later that we broke up. Just because he says he loves you, doesn’t mean its true.
