Katherine D.MemberI can tell you for a fact… it’s true. Women can ejaculate. In some cases, I suppose when the amount is very small, it may be urine, most times, for me anyway, it was a watery fluid and definately not urine. Until I read your posting and all the respones, I had no idea that female ejaculate ever came (pardon the pun) in small amounts. In my experience it has only happened during my most intense orgasms and always in VERY large amounts… time-to-change-the-sheets large amounts.

Katherine D.MemberI have been taking depo-provera contraception injections(once every 3 months) since 1994 (with one break from Jan 96 to Aug 97 during which I got pregnant and had my son) and save for one period just before I conceived I have had –NO MENSTRUAL FLOW– not a single drop of blood or cramp. I have often heard that doctors will, in cases with women experiencing extreme syptoms such as you described and not currently trying to get pregnant, prescibe depo to kill two birds with one stone. The lack of a period is a very common and normal side effect of the contraceptive, but not a guarantee. Hormonal contraceptives will affect each woman differently. In some cases, I’m sure, your doctor will spot certain conditions that would rule you out as a canidate, other times you just have to try it and see what happens. Depo-Provera is available by prescription and at Planned Parenthood clinics. For more info check out http://www.ppeci.org/depo.htm

Katherine D.MemberI am a Black woman, married to a White man. I have always had a preference for White men, and despite what many people have said about this(especially Black men), I do not have self-hatred issues, I love myself and my strong Black sisters AND brothers. I think that our ‘melting pot’ such as it is, has opened the door to allow us to have decided physical attraction to members of other races and ethnicities. For example, my mother (bless her heart) feels no attraction whatsoever towards White men and actually finds blue eyes ‘scary’. Oh, what a difference a generation makes.

Katherine D.MemberThat is, by far, the most insightful and not to mention CUTEST reply I’ve seen on Y Forum. Well done!

Katherine D.MemberPeople’s treatment of their pets is based, in my opinion, not on race but rather on how they were raised, and how pets, if any, were treated when they were a child. Growing up, we always had pets, cats mostly, and they were my babies. They slept in my bed, I played nursemaid and mid-wife (yes, mid-wife) and even gave mouth-to-mouth to one of my cats while suffering congenital heart failure (the vet said I saved his life). Conversely, a co-worker of mine (also Black) is totally baffled at the very idea of pets much less considering them family or even grieving when they die… he was raised differently. Personally I think that children that are denied pets are deprived of something wonderful. I think that with further investigation you’ll probaly find equal numbers of Blacks and Whites on both sides of this fence.

Katherine D.MemberMany people I’m sure are in postions similar to my own. I’ve been in telemarketing for some years now and it has been a living hell. But it’s also the only real job experience I have. I’m 24-years-old and have been beat out of better jobs that I’m qualified for, by people with 10 or more yrs experience, 10 yrs ago I started high school. Some people, I think, just get stuck… you can’t quit, gotta make a living. But you just aren’t marketable elsewhere.

Katherine D.MemberI agree 150% with all that you’ve said… and quite frankly I believe that those that are in position to affect any REAL change are so far removed from the lower and lower middle class that they simply are unable to relate. There is a growing gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have-nots’ in the country at-large and Chicago in particular. I see this evidenced everyday in my personal experiences.. The wealthy simply can’t see us from atop their ivory towers.

Katherine D.MemberI’ve been told that whites, generally, are better swimmers than blacks because their bodies have more sub-cutaneous fat, making them more bouyant. Honestly, until reading your question, I had no idea if there was any truth to it. Go figure.
