I saw a similar question posted here a few weeks ago. I didn’t respond then, but I’ll respond now. Until very recently, I washed with just my hands and a bar of soap. The main reason was that I could never get the hang of the washcloth. It would always slide around and was difficult to keep hold of, and like your friend, I didn’t see much point. A few weeks ago, though, I bought a pair of showering gloves. They are made of a loofah-like plastic weave that’s rougher than a wash cloth, and they work great. I wash just like I used to, but now there’s something on my hands that makes it more effective.

I am a white guy and happily married, so I’m not approaching anybody right now. I do look, though. In general, I find that darker skin or obviously ethnic features add to a woman’s attractiveness. However, if I were in a position to approach a single woman, I would probably be less likely to talk to one who was obviously multiracial, for a number of reasons: 1) I am intimidated by beautiful women. The fact that your ethnicity makes you more attractive would just make me more tongue-tied. 2) As a white man, I know there is a history of objectification and stereotyping of ‘exotic’ women, and I’d be afraid to be seen as looking only at your skin rather than at you. 3) In general, I am more cautious and self-conscious when talking to non-white people. I am hyper-aware of the way I sound, constantly asking, ‘Am I being racist?’ ‘Am I offending?’. This makes me something less than a witty conversationalist.

There is an excellent book: _The_Blind_Watchmaker_ by Richard Dawkins that explains very well why he believes that there was no ‘intelligent design’ in creating the universe. His style is simple and direct and puts evolutionary science in an understandable perspective. I suggest you read it before dismissing evolution.

I don’t know if it’s true that white people have a greater need for control. I do know that institutional racism means that whites have a greater ability to exercise that control. They also have a longer history of being in control and therefore a habit of exercising it.
