JennyMemberI am not really a practicing Jew and haven’t been for many years and yet would still like to put in my view of what a Jew might think of that movie. The first thing that comes to mind is that when I was growing up we weren’t even aloud to say the word Christ as pertaining to Jesus. To a Jew Jesus was not the Christ, but only possibly a prophet or teacher and really doesn’t have anything to do with Judaism. For a Jew the bible as a christian knows it stops at the Old Testament-we are not taught the New Testament at all. So I would think that most Jews wouldn’t see the movie as any more than a movie and very sad. The portrayal of the Pharisees didn’t come across as incorrect to me considering all I have to go on is what I have heard from Chrisitan friends. From their standpoint it did seem correct. They wanted him killed and that is what they got.

JennyMemberI am not sure what is meant by raw-smelling but I have noticed that people of different races tend to smell different anyway. I especially notice it with african americans when they are hot. Sometimes there is a very pungent body odor or their breath is sour. I noticed this with children and adults. I think the smell has a lot to do with what people eat.
