This is so absurd, i laugh whenever I hear it. I got that so much when i was younger. The idea of being well-read and well-spoken meant you were attemtping to ‘act white’, which really is the ultimate insult isn’t it? In a nutshell, it creates the idea that ‘blacks’ are dumb. And that is what I consider offensive. Just chalk it down to people just being really ignorant, and honestly that is all it is. Fools!
