I believe that the reason most blacks vote Democratic is because of the stance the Democrats take on social reform issues. The Democrats tend to enact more social welfare programs that enable the people more than do the Republicans. They push for larger welfare programs, goverment subsidized health care, higher minimum wage, etc… I don’t think that this is attractive only to blacks but to any lower income minorities. Blacks in this country for the large part are still in the lower income class and the Democrats believe in providing, for lack of a better term, handouts for these classes. Kind of a rough way to say it, but I think it’s the truth.
