Jason-E31227MemberPART 3 of 3 PARTS So, as you can see, Mormons are Christians who believe in Christ, God (Heavenly Father) and the Holy Ghost. We believe in modern revelation, and believe that a prophet leads our church today. We believe in the Bible, and the Book of Mormon. We also believe in two other books as scripture: The Doctrine & Covenants is a book of revelations received by early prophets of the church, most notably Joseph Smith, the first prophet of this modern day church. The other book is the Pearl of Great Price, which is a book of translated ancient scripture and other revelations received by Joseph Smith. It also contains the early history of the church as written by Joseph Smith.
As far as your question about ‘Klobb’, the correct term is Kolob. In the Pearl of Great Price, a portion of the scripture discusses a planet that is near to God, and the name of it is Kolob. When studying a religion, it is important to deal with the fundamentals first, and not go directly to ‘perimeter’ beliefs. I think this is true of any religious or philosophical study. You can’t really grasp the spirit of a religion without understaning the most basic tenets. After that, the ‘deeper’ beliefs can be put into context. I really admire the enlightened attitude of the earlier poster, who advised you to talk to Mormons about their own religion, instead of relying on the words of those who do not practice this religion. That is good advice for someone seeking any information about any religious practice. Good luck with your search. I hope you find what you are looking for.
