I have a habit of constantly moving my legs or feet, whether they are crossed or not. As I spend most of my workday sitting down, most of it is just energy that doesn’t have another outlet. Occasionally, if I am nervous or stressed, I will cross my legs and shake the top foot very quickly, but the rest of the time it is usually just a slow tapping movement. If my legs are uncrossed, I tend to bounce on the balls of my feet. I do this even when my legs are completely hidden by my desk, so it has nothing to do with gaining attention.
