I believe it probably has something to do with how we 'dress'. Some men wear theirs up in pants, some down. Some men 'dress right' or 'dress left'. I've been told that mine looks like Gonzo's nose from the muppets. I happen to 'dress down' and it just has a natural direction now. If you get an erection (as we often do) and you're in a particular position, you'd have to create some sort of 'memory'. This may be a far off theory, but it makes sense to me. If you pulled on one ear lobe regularly, it would show it. Therefore, if you 'dress up' you'll erect up...etc.

I, too, was generous to the needy in the streets, until I realized I was, in fact, an enabler. I never give to the panhandlers and feel no guilt whatsoever about it. You may make note of a simple observation in the future. You will never see a panhandler in an area that does not sell alcahol near by, such as a 'dry' county. As it's been stated before, there are numerous reasons for the homeless to be homeless or the poor to be poor. Too numerous to go into. However, there are several programs that are meant to help and do. Work is the easiest thing to find if you actually want to. There is always someone willing to pay another for something they'd rather not, or cannot do themselves. It's called free trade. No one aspires to be homeless or poor, but several CHOOSE to be. It's called free will. Aside from the obvious cases, such as mentaly or physically handicapped, anyone can rise above any situation if they have the desire to. Many become complacent with the cardboard box and the curbside hand-outs. Just a thought.
