I want to answer your question with a question. Why is it that Americans are always wrong no matter what they do? If we don’t get involved we are bashed for not helping, if get involved we are bashed for sticking our nose in other countries business and being the ‘world’s police’. It seems to me we are forced into the role because we have the resources to help and because people expect us to.
