AnnaParticipantHomosexual activity does exist in the animal kingdom. Scientists have documented this among cows, rams, dolphins and even primates. Perhaps this is the more relevant question – if man is supposed to be a ‘higher’ animal, why does he discriminate and hate so fiercely – forcing people to lose their jobs, apartments, security and even their lives based on who they love? That is the real puzzler.

AnnaParticipantUnfortunately, there’s no test you can take to determine your sexual orientation. It takes time and a lot of soul searching. I would talk to the people you love and trust and start attending PFLAG meetings (search for a chapter in your area). The folks in PFLAG are there to help and support you. Good luck.

AnnaParticipantI’ll give the same advice that I gave to another woman in your situation. Go to a PFLAG meeting. To find a PFLAG chapter in your area, go to http://www.pflag.org. PFLAG stands for parents, friends and families of lesbians and gays. They will be supportive and non-judgmental. I do not suggest cheating on your husband, to just ‘try it once.’ A random encounter could bring a host of problems. You need to sort out your feelings, to stand firm in who you are. You need support and love. PFLAG will help. Good luck.
