Long t’s as well as baggy clothes which are typically worn by black males came from prison. In jail the clothing they give out is often too large, they typically give out larg pants and large shirts so that they fit everyone who comes into the system. After a long periods of black being but in jail (many times unj-justly) they bought the clothes that they had come accostumed to wearing. I think the extra long t 1) looks stupid and 2) has evolved out of entertainers trying to thug up thier image and go back to the prison style
