That said, I fear that you wrong dear old Albert by placing him in with such absolutist company…after all, he DID say “No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; but a single experiment can prove me wrong.” And since you chose Einstein as an example, I would give you two MORE quotes by that auguste gentleman, “As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.” – and – “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Einstein was quite comfortable with the possibility of being wrong, as any honest, empirical scientist
