thomasParticipantI agree with the previous sentiment. even though a person’s great- great- great- grandparents may have born in Ireland, or as a ‘Native American,’ or in Africa, does this entitle them to be called something other than American? if someone wants to live in America and be an American citizen, drop the hyphen. but if we are using hyphens, why arent white people called european-american. it sure beats the stuffing out of ‘caucasian.’ where did they get that name?
