I noticed when I went from sixth to seventh grade that the girls with mousy brown hair were all gone, replaced with blondes. I suppose its the never ending quest to improve ones looks. Why else would black women have extensions which to me look like colored rope? I work with two black women who change their hair on a weekly basis, and rarely does it actually imiprove their looks, yet they continue whith new colors, new weaves, new wigs, etc.. Maybe it’s a woman thing rather than a racial thing
