Two of the reasons would be abortion and gun control. But I feel the main reason is the way the democrats and republicans treat citizens. The republicans believe in individual rights and the democrats believe in group rights. The result of this difference harms, mostly, poor whites. A poor black person has numerous government and public organizations to turn to for help, and have millions of dollars of aid at their disposal. If a poor black wishes to start a small business numerous governmental angencies will make funds and training available, if he or she wishes to educate themselves the UNCF will provide funding along with other black-specific tuition aid outfits. Additionally, when enrolling at these schools poor whites must compete with all races for admission while blacks are able to get by with lower grades and test scores. Almost every governmental organization (NASA, FCC, HUD etc.) have offices specifically designed to help only blacks. The list goes on and on. Whites are denied these opportunities. This is very significant considering that without government subsidies or contracts the overwhelming majority of black business would fail The democrats wish keep this racism alive and deny poor whites these opportunities. Because blacks vote 90% for the democrats and white voters tend to show more diversity the democrats have no need to appeal to such a powerless, fractured group. By continuing to lie to the people, about made-up racial incidents such as the vote in Florida the democrats keep a firm hold on the black vote. In short, the republicans favor providing opportunities to all American citizens regardless of color, which helps poor whites, the democrats believe that judging people by race and providing opportunies based on race is most important.
