It doesn't matter what kind of supreme being or higher power you believe in, if a specific person was 'meant' for me, who am I to second guess that higher power? Don't let something as simple as 'what will my friends think' ruin the chance at a great relationship. It's your life, not theirs. Too many people go on to live lonely lives because they were pressured to 'find yourself a good (insert ethnicity here) girl.'

There are many reasons someone would shower more than once a day. They might shower once in the morning before going to class, then shower again in the evening before going out somewhere. It's possible that the classrooms may have been a little warm, causing them to perspire. They might be overweight, or maybe they worked up a sweat in the gym and were too embarrassed to shower in front of other people. If body odor is their problem, it could be their diet. For example, eating onions will give you a slight body odor. If a person smokes, or hangs around people who smoke, the tobacco smell will get into their clothes, hair and even skin. Plus, there are people with obsessive compulsive disorders, such as compulsive hand washing. On a psychological note, people with feelings of guilt will try to 'wash away' their guilt ('I feel so dirty!'). I really think it has nothing to do with what color their skin is. The fact that you noticed 'the whites' showering day and night could be just a coincidence. I'm sure people of other nationalities sometimes shower more than once per day.

Let me see if I've got this right: You claim to be a straight, 27-year-old male who likes the smell of his own sweaty butt. If you are honestly interested in finding out more about pheromones (the natural scent one's body gives off to attract the opposite sex - not to be confused with bad body odor), please clarify your question. As for the pheromones, it's commonly known that animals give off various scents to attract a desirable member of the opposite sex. This is why you see dogs smelling each other's behinds, for example. Humans give off a natural scent also (again - don't confuse this with the smell of a sweaty, 300-pound fat guy), but to a lesser degree. It is mostly subliminal. The problem is we cover it up with cologne/perfume.

I noticed the same thing at my previous job (hospital worker). I asked my supervisor about it and I was told that most employers prefer a high pitched (usually female) voice because it comes over the intercom louder and clearer than a deeper voice. Especially in situations like a hospital where a message over the intercom really does mean the difference between life and death.

After re-reading your question, it sounds like you're asking why there aren't more women's league versions of typically male sports, such as women's hockey, women's baseball and so on. I think it has to do with culture, and the way women are pressured into acting 'ladylike.' In North America, girls are typically encouraged (by parents/guardian/schools) to participate in sports to develop and maintain a healthy body and good social skills. But once women reach their twenties, they are pressured into finding a good job, or more commonly, a husband to settle down with and have children. A lot of times it's the parents who pressure their daughters to 'give them a grandchild.' There is no doubt there are physiological differences between men and women, and having mixed leagues is not always a good idea (example: boxing and American football).

But as for women's leagues, I think if people would take more interest in them, there would probably be more women in professional sports rather than giving it up after they graduate school. An example of this is the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association).
