Where I live, ‘French Whore’ refers to a person wearing way too much perfume, especially one who wears it in the mistaken belief that it covers body odor. The French have often been noted for their exquisite perfumes, and known by the British for overindulging in them. The ‘whore’ part I believe refers to a. whores tend to overdo all feminine signals (i.e. dress and make-up), and b. whores are often thought to be dirty. Since the French are considered dirtier and smellier by individual of Britics descent, it follows that a French whore would be particularly smelly, indeed.

The Bible tells us the after murdering his brother, Cain is cursed by God to be a wanderer. Then, he wanders into the land of Nod and takes a wife from among those folks (Gen 4:16). His sons go on to marry local gals who are named in the following verses. So, Adam and Eve were created, dwelt in the Garden, were throw out into an already populated world, indicating that there were others before them or that there was another parallel creation going on that we are not told about. The Gnostics beleive that Jehovah, who made the garden, was not the Ultimate God, but rather a lesser being who sought to imprisson the pure spirit of Man in the impure physical world. To these folks, the serpent is not the devil at all, but the spirit of Christ showing humans how to escape lying control-freak, Jehovah. A modern Midrash (the retelling of a Biblical story to address concerns of teller and his/her situation)of the story holds that this is a story about the monotheists being created to serve a jealous god and their subsequent failure and contact with pagans, who’s gods were much less pushy.

Watermelon, as the name implies, is made mostly of water and is easier to drag into around than a bucket of water. Therefore, anybody doing physical labor in the hot, murderously hot, South had better take some watermelon with them unless they want to drop dead of dehydration. My grandmother ate and fed me watermelon with salt, which would suggest that is was a dehyration defense.
