    As a Black man I personally have found Asian women attractive; this is probably a common veiw, outside of personal preferences of course. I believe the lack of Asian/African-American relationships stems from the eastern idea of African-Americans. I have studied Japanese language for about 2 years under a professor who lived in the counrty for about 20 years. One bit of cultural trivia he gave us was that the Japanese tend to be somewhat mistrustful of Black people (and to an extent, Americans in general) My guess is this stems from the all to common portrayal of African-Americans in media and entertainment as gangsters, drug dealers or otherwise violent and/or undereducated people. I’m sure communication on both a cultural and personal level would probably change this trend…I think…
