First of all, a house valued at 150,00 is not wealthy to me. Not even close. Just because someone has a lot of material stuff, doesnt mean they are ‘wealthy’. Looks are deceiving. A lot of people may look wealthy, but dig into their bank accounts and you’ll see a huge amounts of debt. Not all wealthy people are rude. People who want to keep up appearances are, in my opinion, the rude ones. I am close to two married couples who are in their 50’s and make the same amount of money, about $150,000 a year. The one couple, Charlie and Caroline drive a BMW, buy a new car every 2 years, buy clothes from Ralph Lauren, Polo, Liz Clairborne, shop at Marshall Fields and want the ‘best’ of everything, the best job, the best neighborhoods, the best cars, etc. etc. He is very judgemental of people who don’t live according to what he thinks you should do. He is also racist and like to yell at the people working at stores when they have to wait in line too long. They live in a better neighborhood in Chicago, but ant to move to a bigger house in a more affluent neighborhood that costs 350,000 and property taxes are $7,000 a year. The other couple, Bill and Donna is not concerned about shopping at the best stoers, clothes and designer labels. They shop at WalMart, Target, Kmart and Sears. They drive a nice mini van, and have a smaller house that is about 200,000, and property taxes are only $2,800 a year. Less than half that of the Charlie and Caroline. They also treat people a lot nicer and don’t care about what kind of job you have, they care about how you treat people. And the have a lot less bills than the Charlie and Caroline. Who looks wealthier? Charlie and Caroline. Who IS wealthier? Bill and Donna. Don’t judge people on what they have, judge them on their character. You’re only 19 years old. you’ll learn as you get older.
