    Yes, there is a difference. In Arabic, it is pronounced “Muhs-LIM,” not “MOZ-lem” and definitely not ‘MOOZ-lim.’ In Arabic, it is spelled with a diacritical (sp?) mark that indicates the ‘U’ sound. For it to have an ‘O’ sound, it would be spelled differently.

    Muslims generally associate the pronounciation and spelling ‘Moslem’ with Orientalism/Imperialism/etc.
