The two main differences are that (a) Evangelicals believe they are directed by the Bible to spread the Gospel to nonbelievers so they can be saved and (b) Presbyterians don’t believe in the gifts of the spirit, such as speaking in tongues and laying on of hands. Also the mainstream denominations such as Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian and Lutheran are much less lively in their services and more bound by traditions (which a lot of people find lovely and comforting.
