I don’t see how love at first sight can possibly exist, and I’ve never met anyone who fell in love at first sight and had a LASTING relationship of true love with that person. If I do, I’ll let ya know. Personally, I don’t think it exists b/c people need to agree about certain basic social issues in order to even begin to fall in love. I’m not saying Republicans and Democrats can’t fall in love, but I certainly don’t think a KKK member and an African-American have ever hit it off simply by getting a glimpse of each other! However, blatant physical attraction is very powerful, occurs at first sight, and is often mistaken for love; if a couple with instant attraction were to discover that they also agreed on most world views, had compatible personalities, and similar emotional depth, then they would probably delude themselves into thinking that they had fallen in love at first sight.
