    I think the type of thinking you are referring to starts from an early age. You see how the older men around you act and how they treat women, and it just seems acceptable to want to grow up and be the same way. (Although not me.) I don’t think it has ANYTHING to do with slavery or some kind of identity issue, but more with the fact that this is what type of male role models you grow up with. If I may suggest, please watch the film ‘Boyz N the Hood’. This movie explains what it’s like to grow up black better than I could by just writing in this message box. -Thanks
