I don’t think it’s ‘copying.’ People influence each other. Just because a black man might decide to study physics or Shakespeare doesn’t mean he’s trying to be white, does it? Some people may just naturally identify with one aspect of our diverse culture over another, maybe because they’re comfortable with it.
