Richard HefnerMemberI have heard that mormons did not allow black people to be part of their cult — I mean religion, I think that it was changed in the middle 1900’s from what I have heard, but again, I am not too sure. If I read a book that tells of ‘why’ they did this, I will let you know. There have been some really wierd things in their religion that have came about, but most the time after a couple decades, they will get withdrawn so more people can join their cult and spread the false teachings that they have, and control the towns that they have controlled and are still controlling now. Joseph Smith is truly an example of a false prophet, adding onto the word of God with the Book of Mormon, the pearl of great price, doctrines and covenants, and the other numerous books that they have. Jesus clearly warns us in Matthew 7:15 ‘Watch out for false prophets’ and 24:11 ‘and many false prophets will appear’ amongst other versus. Beware. In Him, Richard

Richard HefnerMember‘I will preach on the plurality of Gods. I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.’ — Joseph Smith
And on page 372 in the same book: ‘Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God. I say that is a strange God anyhow — three in one, and one in three! It is a curious organization. All are crammed into one God, according to sectarianism. It would make the biggest God in all the word. He would be a wonderfully big God — He would be a giant or a monster.’ — Joseph Smith
‘Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.’ — 1 John 3:2
We will indeed be like our Savior, Jesus Christ, but to assume that this means Godhood? The Bible clearly teaches not:
‘Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.’ — Isiah 43:10
‘But as it is written. Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.’ — 1 Corinthians 2:9
He will always be beyond anything He can give us. We will ALWAYS stand in awe of God, because He alone is God.
Just these things alone prove that Mormonism is false indeed. The Bible alone is the true word of God, and whoever adds to God’s words will be rebuked and made a liar. Mormons have even admitted that Brigham Young was wrong in saying that Adam was God, yet Mormons still hold him as a true prophet. It just doesn’t make any sense.
All non-believers will see that Jesus Christ is God. They will see that the Bible is the only true word of God, and anything that adds onto the Bible, such as the Book of Mormon, is false.

Richard HefnerMember—If you don’t know God, you need to find Him. I used to be hellbound, but by the Grace of God and God alone, I am saved through Jesus Christ. I know how it used to be and it was horrible. Please contact a pastor at a local Church (The Church, not the LDS or any other so-called church) or read the Bible for yourselves. Don’t let anybody make you believe anything is true, unless it comes straight from the Bible. I challenge all of you who don’t know God as your personal savior to find Him and find Him ASAP. He loves you.—

Richard HefnerMemberOh, ok. I have done some research since I presented the question here and I have found some really interesting things. Brigham Young, considered to be a TRUE Mormon prophet, claimed that Adam (The first man that God created on Earth. For the people who don’t know about Adam & Eve, Genesis 1-3 will give an understanding of creation and the fall of man…) was God. And I quote from the Journal of Discourses, through Brigham Young’s own words: ‘Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is Michael, the Archangel, the Ancient of Days! about whom holy men have written and spoken — He is our Father and our God, and the only God with whom we have to do. Every man upon the earth, professing Christians or non-professing, must hear it, and will know it sooner or later.’ — Brigham Young Now, it just seems odd to me how the mormon’s can see Brigham Young as a TRUE prophet when he falsely preaches the above. Even though that mormon’s believe that the bible is not the whole word of God, even though that the bible clearly states that it is and Moses warns in Proverbs 30:6: ‘Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.’ — Moses They have gone along with false teachers such as Brigham Young and Joseph Smith for sometime now. Joseph Smith taught that Adam was the Ancient of Days. God’s word and only word, the Bible, teaches that God is the Ancient of Days. The bible also clearly warns, through Jesus’s own words in Matthew 7:15: ‘Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.’ — Jesus Christ Now, a prophet is ‘a person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of God is expressed’ and truly, bodly and faithfully I can say that Adam was not God, yet God the Father created Adam. Yet Brigham Young and Joseph Smith both teach that Adam was God, the Ancient of Days. They also teach that when people die, they will become their own Gods….? And also that The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit were all seperate…? Quoting Joseph Smith in the Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Page 370:
