    The term “Hispanic” is used to cover the Spanish-speaking world as a whole. This would include Mexican-American, Native Mexicans, Guatemalans, Spaniards, Puerto Ricans, etc., or anyone who speaks the language. “Latino” refers to those of North or South American heritage or descent.
