Nobody gets to choose their sexual preferences. From what I hear, pedophiles (and I’m talking about a preference for young children, not semi-adults) don’t choose to be attracted to kids in that way, and many/most feel ashamed or disgusted with themselves for it. It seems to be innate, like being gay/straight, or having a ‘thing’ for blondes, or high heels. Nobody has ever been ‘converted’ from a sexual preference, it’s too central to our being. Why is it like this? Your guess is as good as mine, nobody knows for sure.
