Thank you K.N. for that wonderful response. Although I have never dated a white woman, I believe what you said is right on. My mother went to school in France for two years as an Army brat and then was forced to complete her remaining years in Jackson, Miss. I think it scared her deeply, and she passed some of her wounds on to me by telling me not to bring any white girls home, among other things. I think it is important for all people to know themselves and think on their own. This is why I enjoyed reading your response to the young sister.
