I have been dating a disabled man for about a year and a half. He was injured on the job about five years ago. I think it is especially hard for people who were not born disabled to have intimate relationships because they are not used to being the way they are. He will often say that he wishes we could do something or go somewhere that he could before. It’s challenging because he cannot share with me the things he once loved. But, for the most part, our relationship is like any other that I have been in.
