MichelParticipantWhy do you want to tell your friends? Is it because all of you are planning an all-night party? Or planning a get together with friends of the opposite sex? If so, it’s perfectly healthy to stay away from these, to say that you prefer to go alone, etc. I, for one, never wanted to connect with a female just as a one night stand, so I preferred to go by myself or to stay away. It was not a popular point of view at my schools, but years later, I still feel I made the right decisions. BTW, I’m a happy heterosexual so I didn’t have anything to hide in my closet. On the other hand, if you meet someone interesting and want to get involved a bit more seriously (whether same-sex or opposite-sex), try to get her feelings. You should probably try to get her (?) general views on homosexuality and discretion before going further. You may want to keep her as a good friend anyways, and more importantly, you don’t want her to spread around secrets or rumours.
