I have never seen an unusual amount of people elderly or otherwise driving around in cars except, college students in the spring and fall going to and from college or sometimes people who appeared to be road warrior sales people who travel for extended periods of time. I suspect it has to do with the state you live in. More ‘elderly’, have 2 homes one in and one out of Fl., than in most any other state. The people you are probably seeing are these people moving in and around the state going to and from their permanent residence to their condo or second home in your state. This is the best answer I can come up with but I’ll bet these are the people you are seeing. Next time you see one stop them and ask them, most ‘elderly’ people I know are always happy to talk and will give you more of thier time than most any other age groop.

I think the reason they all appear to be alike has to do a great deal with the place they buy thier ‘attire’ I walked into a goth shop while at the local mall last week. The only difference between them and the rest of the shoppers is they only had one store to select from. My psych, friends claim it’s about attention. The few goths I have meet are not as wiered or freaky as they would have you beleive. Most are pretty good kids just searching for a little bit of something to give thier present existence some meaning,’another way to say hey, I am here also, see me.

You are probably encountering jerks trying to apper ‘upper class’, by thier labels they flash, the sunglasses you see and the fake knock offs Rolex, ect, or maby even real watches they can’t really afford. The bad behavior or snobbish attitude is usually the give away that they really are not from a well educated, socially trained, confident social class. Most adult, what I consider upper class individuals are not rude, crast,or impolite and don’t waste thier hard earned wealth on overpriced physical trappings that most people associate with wealth. Upper class is not about the total net worth of a person,or that individuals i.q. I has more to do about how that person was brought up to think about themselves, thier place in society and thier relationship, behavior and roles in life. There are great success stories and miseralble failures in that class just like any other. Somehow our culture seems to be too focused on the ‘Rich and Famous’, who are not the ‘upper class’ people that I am describing. I doubt you or anyone else for that matter are able to recognize 90% of the real ‘upper class’ millionairs who come into your store. Most won’t even describe themselves as ‘upper class’. Don’t trust your eyes, few will be wearing a Rolex or $200.00 sunglasses or large diamond rings. The best clues are people who seem ordinary, unassuming, quiet but friendly and normally always conclud the transaction with a thank you. Remember the size of the bank account does not earn one the status of ‘upper class’, there are a lot of Beverly Hill Billies in the world, they are just not as obvious as ‘Jethro’,they wear different clothes and speak with a different dialect and act like ‘jerks’ thinking this is the way rich people are supposed to act. They confuse money with education and social skills.
