There have been some evolutionary psychology theorist who put forward the theory that men are sub-conciously concerned with women becoming pregnant by another man with out there knowledge. Since a women can only be birth one man’s child at a time, men feel the need to protect that resource. Women do not feel as protect of men becuase men can father several childern, so as long as men come around food and a pay check and do not give it to another woman, women are not losing out on anything. It could also be that women just do not ask where they are going? Men know what they are doing, they do not have to worry where they are and if they are in danger. They can not know that about their woman without asking. Of course this is true the other way around.
