I say more power to ya! I’ve always thought it makes no sense for companies and schools to make a long list of people they will not discriminate against and then leave gays off of that list. Blacks, Asians, women and disabled people have all received positive responses, and yet gays are still shunned. It’s really unfair. Of course I don’t speak for everyone – especially Christians.

I’d like to thank you for stating that, as a modern woman, you don’t desire children. I have no plans for them, and although I think it is perfectly normal to want them, I think too many women are pushed into motherhood because it’s what we are supposed to want. But to the question at hand, it seems that many men are in need of breeding children, but I know many men (including mine) who have no real desire for children.

I thought this was really bizarre, but not being a mom or a doctor, I decided to check this out. I found this quote:

“In societies where children are allowed to nurse as long as they want, they usually self-wean, with no arguments or emotional trauma, between 3 and 4 years of age. The minimum predicted age for a natural age of weaning in humans is 2.5 years, with a maximum of 7 years,” states Katherine Dettwyler, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Anthropology and Nutrition at Texas A&M University, and author of the chapter, A Time to Wean, in the book, Breastfeeding: Biocultural Perspectives. So I guess as long as this doesn’t continue too long, it’s normal. I think it’s pretty weird, though.

I’m not offended, and I don’t think many vegetarians are. I think a lot of people assume that when people decide on a vegetarian lifestyle that they are disgusted by meat. But I’ve found that’s generally not true. I loved meat when I became veggie 8 months ago, and I still have cravings.

I’ve read this book as well, and I refered back to it for this question. The author brings up several reasons why blond tends to be prefered. For one, blond hair and pale skin epitimize youth and pureness. Secondly, it has been known that women from all culures have lighter skin than men, and thus, lighter skin and hair is more feminine. Also, light skin is often prefered, and light hair just naturally tends to follow.
