The easiest way to explain a spell is that it is like a prayer. If you do a protection spell, you are essentially praying for protection; and the same goes for spells for love, success and anything else. It is generally accepted that there is very little or no danger involved.

I got into a discussion on just this subject with a male friend of mine a few days ago. Only we were talking about a man being raped by a woman. My friend claimed that, when the man is drunk, involuntary erections are more common, hence a man can more easily be raped by a woman. However if it is a man who is raped by another man I think society has a tendency to view him differently. The victim has been emasculated in a sense.

Female ‘circumcision’ is the term used to try to make the practice of Female Genital Mutilation more palatable. It is practiced in many African and Middle Eastern countries as a way of keeping their women in check (However I believe it was also once practiced by a sect of Orthodox Jews, but I may be wrong about that). This usually consists of removing the clitoris, sewing shut the vaginal opening, But some other methods are used. The ‘operation’ is performed usually by unskilled people with no medical training, and unsanitary tools in an environment that most people would probably be appalled at, and the ages of the children subjected to it range from the toddler age to early puberty. This act is far less common than it once was, and seems like almost less of a racial thing than it is sexual.
