Women were once commodities traded from man to man in what was essentially a business contract – that’s still the case in many countries. Think about a traditional wedding – the boyfriend asks the father for the daughter’s hand, the father “gives away” the daughter to the husband. It is still in our social subconscious that women’s bodies somehow belong to men. That expectation never existed for men, so that makes them free to roam. In truth, a woman’s body belongs to her just as much as a man’s body belongs to him. As long as you don’t betray your personal morals, you’ll be fine. The ‘Ho vs. Man’ issue becomes less relevant as an adult because adults tend to be more mature about sexual relationships.
