Assalamu ‘alaikum, Financially it may be a struggle for the typical household to live comfortably with one income. Alhamdulillah Allah (swt) has blessed my husband and I with the advantage financially. I am at home with our 13 month old baby girl, masha’Allah.

Renee’, I’m in the same boat you are. I agree with your findings, and I’ve lived in several states across the United States. However, I’ve found that it depends on economical and social circles.

Could you explain to me why Black women don’t wash their hair often?

My husband and I have been married five years. More often than not we see interracial relationships just the opposite of ours. I believe I can count on one hand the number of relations I’ve seen ‘our way.’

I know what you mean. I get the evil eye simply because my hair extends down my back and nearly to my waist. Is that your real hair they ask.

May I suggest you visit a mosque and befriend a Muslim sister? I’m more than sure she and others will welcome you with smiles and open arms. Good for you! Assalamu ‘alaikum.
