I too am childless by choice. Since my mid teens I knew I did not want children. I met a wonderful man who felt the way I did and we have been married for over 14 years. It has never been a problem. In fact every year for the first 12, at the time of year to renew my birth control prescription, we agreed to both revisit the topic of children and finally 2 years ago, my husband went under the knife. Do not let anyone make you feel bad for your choice. We have so much fun not being tied down to children and even though our friends with children can be hard to make spontaneous plans with, we have adapted fine and are usually the envy of everyone we know! What makes you thing you wouldn’t be a good parent? I think people like you and I who make this choice would probably be better parents than many who have children for all the wrong reasons. I see so many bad parents it makes me think you should have to take a test or have a license or something to procreate.

I am not for smkokers rights at all as I think it is a dirty disgusting habit. I have never smoked at all so perhaps I am completely lacking in compasson. I don’t know what compels a person to want to smoke, aside from the nicotine addiction, just the way it makes you smell. Then there is the subject of the butts. There is nothing worse than sitting at an intersection and seeing a pile of butts on the ground. How truly ignorant of them. And to the reply already given about the smell of them in the car — so that makes it ok to throw them out the window? Because they smell up your car?

I too am grossed out by this habit. In fact I recently posted a similar question to the ladies in the lockerroom at my gym. I know sometimes toilets are temperamental and they need to be flushed twice. I think sometimes ladies are just stupid about this basic toilet fact. I also don’t know how they can use the toilet and just urinate all over the seat. It would seem if all the hypochondriacs in the world would just get over it and it every one extended a little comon courtesy when using the toilets the status of public restroom cleanliness would be a much smaller issue. My husband always says they should invent a public restroom that when you leave, seals itself up and then gets a through hosedown before the next user gets in.
