    I don't think the average citizen feels we need to fix the world's problems. I think they wish the world would take care of itself. I think history would show that when the United States intervenes, it is because other governments ask for its assistance - i.e. Kuwait. I resent countries that put their hand out begging for U.S. aid and then turn around and criticize us for any stand we take. Most citizens would prefer we bring home all our troops from overseas, eliminate all but disaster aid and let the rest of the world fend for itself. But then we would be even more hated than we are now, because we would no longer be giving away our country.
