Personally, I enjoy NPR, and the only thing I resemble in your description is female and liberal (though I consider myself a practical die hard liberal as opposed to the bleeding heart variety). I find the reporting to be particularly in depth and non-partison. It is a little high brow on occassion, but the national news reporting is unparalleled, IMO.
