K KelleyParticipantI am an African-American mother of three daughters, with the same father, all in wedlock, whose names were all specifically chosen to protect them from the gross generalizations you have just chosen. Their names are neither male- nor female-specific, nor give any reference to a particular group. For example, my daughter's name is Sydney, typically a white, Jewish name. Some have chosen to name their children these names to reflect a strong cultural reference, nothing more.User Detail :
