No parades for white people??? You gotta be kidding me. OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES and think about things before your run your mouth off. What is St. Patrick’s Day, huh? THe Irish were white the last time I checked. Americans of Irish, Italian, Jewish, Greek, German, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Slavic and many other ancestries ALL have ethnic pride parades in this country. Whoever started this conversation in the first place is a closet racist but is too stupid to see it. I notice this all the time – No white person ever says a damn word about St. Patrick’s Day parades or March being officially declared ‘Irish-American History Month’ but low and behold, white people are quick to grumble and complain about Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, the Puerto Rican Parade, etc. So basically all this opposition to minority ethnic parades and celebrations is nothing more than a ploy to further marginalize people of color in this country and maintain WASP supremacy. The bottom line is, if you want a ‘White Pride’ parade so bad, quit complaining and start one up – I bet your efforts fail big time. I checked out these so called ‘white pride’ groups and websites and every single one of them resorts to pulling out claims of White moral superiority and brings up crime statistics, birth rates, college attendance and things like that – and some, such as the NAAWP, proudly assert the superiority of the white ‘race.’ The bottom line is this whole ‘white pride’ b.s. is just plain dislike, prejudice, and a backlash against people of color in this country. Groups like the NAACP, MALDEF, and other minority civil rights groups get insulted by white people, but those same white people don’t say one damn word about the existence of groups like Sons of Italy (Italian-American), Emerald Society (Irish-American), Daughters of the American Revolution (WASP), or the many other German, Jewish, Hellenic, russian or other white ethnic organizations. Get educated before your talk such nonsense. No ‘white’ pride organizations…give me a break.
